Ingredients
For the prawns
200g cooked prawns, peeled
1 small gem lettuce (shredded)
½ cucumber, diced (optional)
1 small handful cherry tomatoes, halved (optional)
1 lemon wedge (to serve)
For the Marie Rose sauce
4 tbsp mayonnaise
2 tbsp ketchup
½ tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp lemon juice
A pinch of smoked paprika
Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Prepare the sauce
In a small bowl, mix together:
mayonnaise
ketchup
Worcestershire sauce
lemon juice
smoked paprika
pinch of salt & pepper
Adjust seasoning to your taste.
2. Mix the prawns
Add the cooked prawns to a bowl.
Spoon half of the sauce over the prawns and gently mix until coated
(keep the rest of the sauce for topping).
3. Build the cocktail
In serving glasses or small bowls:
Add a layer of shredded lettuce.
Add cucumber or tomatoes if using.
Spoon the coated prawns on top.
Add an extra teaspoon of the sauce.
Sprinkle paprika and place a lemon wedge on the side.
