Creamy Garlic Mushrooms

👨‍🍳 Ingredients

  • 250–300g mushrooms (button or sliced)

  • 1 tbsp butter

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 3–4 garlic cloves, finely chopped

  • 150ml cream (double/whipping cream)

  • Salt & pepper

  • Fresh parsley (optional)

  • Optional extras: pinch of chilli flakes, parmesan

🍳 Instructions

  1. Heat butter + oil in a pan over medium heat.

  2. Add the mushrooms and cook for 4–5 mins until they start to brown.

  3. Add the garlic and cook 1 minute until fragrant.

  4. Pour in the cream and reduce heat to low.

  5. Simmer gently for 3–4 minutes until the sauce thickens.

  6. Season with salt, pepper, and garnish with parsley.

  7. Serve with bread, toasted baguette, or mini vol-au-vents.

  • Don’t wash mushrooms — wipe them with a cloth so they don’t go watery.

  • Let mushrooms brown before adding garlic for extra flavour.
